Flooding in Bangladesh

Northeast Bangladesh experienced the worst flooding in 122 years, caused by heavy seasonal rains. Between June 17 and 21, residents of 27 out of 64 flooded districts in Bangladesh were victims of floods, snake bites and lightning strikes, according to the Emergency Operations Centre. The disaster affected more than 100 thousand people. At least 36 people were killed. The civil administration has begun evacuation with the help of lifeboats.
